October 27: "Living Faith Part IV" by Pastor Steve Baden

Psalm 65 and Luke 18:9-14 were the scriptural focus for the sermon titled "Living Faith Part IV." One question asked by Pastor Steve was, "Is there an antidote to pride?" Jesus used children as the example for how we are to love God. Martin Luther kept coming back to Jesus words in Ephesians 2: 8, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--ant this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God..."

October 20: "Living Faith Part III" by Pastor Steve Baden

October 20 was the Sunday following a special Pastor Appreciation Day Service held on October 13, during which both Pastor Steve and his wife Roddie were recognized through special readings and songs. Pastor Steve begins the message with a thank you to the congregation and then moves into the Sunday message. The focus of the "Living Faith Part III" sermon was Psalm 19 and Luke 18, verses 1-8.

October 6: "Living Faith Part I" by Pastor Steve Baden

Pastor Steve Baden begins a four-part series in October on Living Faith. Luke 17:5-10; Psalm 137, and Lamentations 1: 1-6 are the scriptural focus of "Living Faith Part I" delivered on October 6. The message reiterates Jesus' teachings on forgiveness and staying strong in Christian faith. Jesus tells his disciples that even faith as small as a mustard seed can work miracles and he emphasizes the importance of forgiving others.
