December 30: Stress: Not God's Desire by Guest Speaker Carl Revels

Guest Speaker Carl Revels focused on Matthew 6: 34 and a variety of other scriptural passages in delivering his message on “Stress: Not God’s Desire.” He addressed the 70 verses in the Bible that talk about worry but that there is not a scriptural passage that uses the word "stress" as that word did not come into the English language until the 1600s. Those in attendance were reminded that praise, prayer, opening our Bible's to read God's word daily, and trusting in God's plan are important to our mental and physical health as 70 percent of illnesses are reported to be stress related.
