Pastor Kent focused on Luke 1 and 2 in his message titled "Indestructible Joy." He read passages from the Book of Luke and reminded those in attendance that the scripture calls us to rejoice in the wondrous act of love that we celebrate in the birth of our Savior. The scripture, he said, call us to commit our whole lives and to open our hearts to the birth of Christ we celebrate at Christmas and in the Second Coming of Christ.

PASTOR KENT MITCHELL SECOND ADVENT SERMON: DECEMBER 10

"Why We Anxiously Await" was the title of Pastor Kent Mitchell's sermon for Second Advent on December 10. The scripture focus was 1 John: 4 and Pastor Kent encouraged those in attendance to not merely act as if you love your neighbor but to actually love one's neighbors and this ultimately results in loving one another as Jesus taught. This advice is Biblical and he also cited a statement by C.S. Lewis written in the classic book, "Mere Christianity."

PASTOR STEVE BADEN FIRST ADVENT SERMON: DECEMBER 3

Guest Speaker Pastor Steve Baden delivered a message on December 3 titled “The Least of Us” focusing on Matthew 25: 31-46. According to Pastor Steve, the selection of this particular passage from the Bible is designed to remind us of what we should be doing this time of year. "Let's not forget to think about why we need God to intervene in our lives," advised Pastor Steve during his message.
