Bring the family and children to Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on December 24, 2017, Sunday. Holy Communion, special readings, Nativity Felt Board for children, Christmas carols, hot chocolate and cookies following the service. Highlights of the 2016 service are featured below.

Candlelight Service Congregational Singing

Attendees sing "Silent Night" at the close of the service held December 27, 2016. Comments from attendees included, "So glad we were there, it finally feels like Christmas." Another attendee shared the heartfelt sentiment, "Now my heart is filled with the joy of knowing Jesus."

December 27 Service

The annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at Duck Creek Community Church, was held on Tuesday, December 27, at 6 P.M. The date was changed from Christmas Eve to December 27 due to a big winter storm.

Family, neighbors, and friends gathered together to celebrate the birth of our Savior and the many ways He blesses our lives.  The program included Holy Communion, prayer, scripture readings, a special message and skit, worship songs, and an interactive Nativity Scene activity for children.

The evening ended with a time of fellowship, beverages and cookies in the Fellowship Hall.

 

Attendees enjoyed a wonderful skit about Joseph and gained new perspective on Joseph and Mary's marriage. Alice Redmond played Mary, Irene Jackson played Elizabeth, and Pastor Tom acted the part of Joseph.

Nativity Felt Board

Children at the December 27 Candlelight Service enjoyed the interactive Nativity Felt Board and story of the birth of Jesus.

Song Leader Linda Waber sang "You're Here" as the solo performance.
